Our Basic Training program is dedicated to not only transforming your body, but improving your overall lifestyle. By providing you with customized nutrition plans, customized training plans, and personalized interactive online tools we are committed to making change happen.

Through Basic Training you will:
  1. Establish healthy eating and exercise habits that will benefit you for the rest of your life
  2. Develop the foundational skills for both cardiovascular and weight training to safely engage in physical exercise
  3. Achieve a new level of confidence in your ability to shape your body and health

Basic Training Outline

Basic Training encompasses all three of the Team Jacked Process: Nutrition, Training, and Desire. We will take a number of approaches to establish support in each of the three areas.

Nutrition

What can you expect from a meal plan? It will tell you exactly what to eat, exactly how much, and at what time. We will also recommend a list of sauces and spices to keep things fresh. The Basic Training package includes the following:
  • A body composition and RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) assessment
  • Dietary analysis: examination and review of your current nutrition habits
  • Customized nutrition plan tailored to your body, preferences, schedule, and goals.
  • Two days in your meal plan (a workout day and a non-workout day meal outlines). Additional days can be purchased separately.
  • Meal Plan Refresher: every month your meal plan will be updated with any caloric changes necessary and some food substitutions will be made to provide variety
There are no calories to count. We count them; you eat them.

Training

  • Customized training plan: your plan will include both cardiovascular and strength conditioning
  • 4 hours of personal training: 2 hours when starting the program to fully instruct you in the execution of every part of your training program. 1 additional hour per month to review your program and make adjustments according to your progress
  • A weekly engagement with the team to experience a variety of exercise methods while building team spirit
  • Team workout hours: you don't have to train alone. Captains and other members can share their workout schedule so you can always ask for a spot, ask any questions, or just have someone to talk to between sets

Desire

  • Online command centre: gain full access to our online network which features your meal and workout plans, team forums, journals, progress tracking and more
  • Receive a timely response to any question through our online support system
  • Fans: You choose a minimum of three people to track your progress through the website. They will help keep you accountable and motivated
  • Individualized counselling: a weekly meeting in person, or over the phone with your captain to discuss your progress
  • Body composition assessment at 3 week intervals to ensure your program is proceeding as planned and to keep you moving forward

Timeline

The standard Basic Training runs for 12 weeks. You may also opt to participate in the 16-week Extended Basic Training for an extra month of intense programming.

Cost

The cost for standard Basic Training is $500 $400 (Fall 2009 promotion), and the Extended Basic Training is $600 $480. Half of the total is to be paid before starting, and the remaining balance is to be paid after 1 month of program completion. Additional months beyond either program can be purchased for $150/month. Member dues are $10/month for continued access to the online command centre, and the maintenance program.
